THEY SAID HE TRIED TO COVER UP THE PAYMENTS HE MADE TO KEEP HIS AFFAIR WITH STORMY DANIELS QUIET SO IT WOULDN’T BE DETRIMENTAL TO HIS RUN FOR PRESIDENCY. I AM NOT A LAWYER; I DON’T HAVE ANY LEGAL TRAINING WHATSOEVER. BUT I DO LIKE TO THINK OF MYSELF AS INTELLIGENT AND EDUCATED INDIVIDUAL WITH COMMON SENSE. FROM WHAT I WAS ABLE TO ASSERTAIN FROM THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED IN THIS BULLSHIT TRIAL WAS THAT THE PROSECUTION TOOK A NUMBER OF THINGS THAT IN THEMSELVES WERE NOT CRIMES AND STACKED IT TOGETHER TO EQUAL A TRUMPED-UP CHARGE. [PARDON MY PUNN]. FROM THE BEGINNING THE DAY I TOOK OVER THIS NET I HAVE ALWAYS TOLD PEOPLE THAT I WELCOME CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICIZM AND ALTERNATIVE IDEAS TO ANYTHING I PROPOSE OR HAVE A SAY IN. I HAVE NEVER WANTED ANYONE TO AGREE TO JUST AGREE WITH MY IDEAS OR VIEWS. TO HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND VIEWS IS WHAT ONCE MADE THIS COUNTRY STRONG AND GREAT AND IT ALSO THE MARK OF A GOOD LEADER TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THOSE DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND ADAPT AND CHANGE WITH THEM. THIS IS HOW WE ALL LEARN, ATLEAST THAT’S HOW IT WORKED FOR ME. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG HERE BUT IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO LOOK AT THOSE INDIVIDUAL DOCUMENTS THAT TRUMP FILED YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF IF HE WAS TRYING TO COVER IT UP WHICH IS WHAT THEY ALLEDGE HE DID WHY WOULD YOU FILE THE DOCUMENTS IN THE FIRST PLACE? THERE WERE INVOICES, CHECKS, IRS DOCUMENTS ETC. DOES THAT REALLY SOUND LIKE SOMEONE WHO WANTED TO HIDE THE FACT HE PAID THAT MONEY? IT WAS ACTUALLY WELL DOCUMENTED AND SELF ADMITTED HE PAID HER TO SHUT UP. SO, WHERE IS THE CRIME? MY PONT EXACTLY! NOW TO A LAY PERSON LIKE MYSELF IF I HAD FILED ALL THOSE DOCUMENTS, IT MEANS I HAD NO INTENTION OF HIDING IT. AND FOR CALLING THE REIMBURSEMENT OF MONEY TO COHEN “LEGAL FEES” I BELIEVE WAS TOTALLY ACCURATE. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT IF I HAVE A LAWYER ON RETAINER AND THAT LAWYER ENCURES EXPENDITURES RELATED TO HIS WORK ON MY BEHALF THAT HE ISN’T ENTITLED TO BEING RE-IMBURSED? I DON’T CARE IF THE LAWYER HAD THE MONEY IN HIS BANK ACCOUNT OR HE MORTGAGED HIS HOUSE TO FRONT THE MONEY FOR THE EXPENSE, HE STILL SHOULD BE RE-IMBURSED FOR HIS EXPENSES ON BEHALF OF HIS CLIENT. SO, FOR TRUMP TO LABEL THE PAYMENTS HE MADE TO THE LAWYER AS ATTORNEY EXPENSES HE WASN’T LYING. IT WAS RE-IMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES THAT WERE INCURRED BY A LAW FIRM IN A LEGITIMENT EXPENSE ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT. AND LASTLY IT WAS NOT PROVEN THAT HE USED CAMPAIGN FUNDS TO MAKE THE PAYMENTS. IT’S ONLY THAT HE MADE THE PAYMENTS DURING AN ELECTION CAMPAINGN IS WHAT THEY ALLEDGED QUALIFIY’S THEM TO BRING THE CHARGES. IF THIS ISN’T THE BIGGEST CROCK OF SHIT, I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS. MY FRIENDS I DO NOT ADVOCATE VIOLENCE. I DON’T WANT TO SEE ANY BAD THINGS HAPPEN OR THIS COUNTRY PLUNGE INTO A CIVIL WAR OVER THIS TRAVESTY OF JUST US. SO PLEASE AS MUCH AS I AM BOILING ON THE INSIDE, AND AS MUCH AS I WANT TO ENGAGE IN SOME WAY TO RIGHT THIS HUGE WRONG I WILL NOT SUCUMB TO VIOLENCE. WE STILL HAVE A PLETHRA OF WAYS THAT THE CONSTITUTION AND THE LAW PROVIDES TO PEACFULLY SETTLE THIS. MAKE NO MISTAKE THOUGH. I AM NOT A PUSH OVER AND I WILL DO WHAT IT TAKES TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THIS COUNTRY AND THE WELL BEING OF MY FAMILY SHOULD IT COME TO THAT. THE ENTIRE WORLD HAS JUST BEEN SHOWN HOW THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES CAN TURN AGAINST ANYONE OF IT’S CITIZENS AT ANYTIME FOR ANY REASON. JUSTIFIED OR NOT. OUR FOREFATHERS WERE GREATLY CONCERNED OF EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW TO HAVE WRITTEN IN CHECKS AND BALANCES IN THE CONSTITUTION TO PREVENT WHAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING YET THESE POLITICIANS HAVE YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR SLOWLY CHIPPED AWAY AT THOSE CONSTITUNIAL SAFEGUARDS UNTIL THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT. Russ Cassedy Getting to know me en General Discussion Hello. I am the "other" Russ. I've lived in Las Vegas all my life (62) years. I worked for Clark County Parks on the maintenance side for 30 years. For most of that time I managed keeping the park's green and the lights on. I'm now semi retired. I've been doing handyman work for the past five years. I've been married for over forty years. I had three children and seven grandchildren. I got my ham Technician and GMRS license back in 2016 but got busy with other things and I'm just getting back into it again recently. I love classic cars and currently own a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado and take it to car shows. If anyone is interested in knowing about upcoming events feel free to hit me up. I also love NHRA drag racing and attend both National races here in the spring and fall. I'm also rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs to win the upcoming Super Bowl! Over the years i've watch the area slowly decay, infiltrated with homeless people who are nasty and disgusting, rude, and thieves. But yet our small neighborhood has managed to keep most of the crap out. You can actually pull in to the property and forget whats going on out their. We used to be nick named the oasis by metro because the amount of calls to the property were minimal. Something like 3 calls in 5 years. It's gone up since then but yet nothing dramatic. I know many people on the radio are retired law enforcement and a good number are active law enforcement. So with that said i am well aware of the challenges that face the police in this valley. My hat's off to law enforcement here you men and women have a set of brass balls bigger than anything i've ever seen. Just the notion of trying to combat the evil in this valley is so overwhelming to me i wouldn't want to be a cop here for all the tea in china. When i hear the other side of everything, the people who have been arrested or just out of jail etc., and they claim metro screwed them or used unsavery ways to arrest them, i ask...... well why were you in that position in the first place that you had to have a confrontation with the police? Think about this a bit. Had you not put yourself in a position that was questionable you would not have had to experience the hospitality of the police. Notice i say "YOU" quite often. It's because the cops don't just drive around and mess with people who aren't doing anything for shits and giggles. So to those of you who hang out in front of the 7/11's, gas stations, and parking lots of casinos constantly begging for money, go get a life asshole. I am sick and tired of going to a business and eveytime i get out of my vehicle i am approached by some dope head, drunk, or creep that askes me for a buck or can you spare any change? Unfortunately for those business's that allow this to continue in front of their stores i choose to go to a store where the freaks are not out front. I've often thought why the hell doesn't metro do something about this....? Well in further thought i have to see police dept's. view too. They don't have time for dealing with these creeps, because they are dealing with home invasions, shootings, muggings, stabbings and the like. My god what has las vegas turned into? So to all the business owners out there [I used to be one of them] get off your lazy ass and do something about the issue of these creeps on your private property. Don't be so damn cheap and hire a good security gaurd to deal with it or just use the plain old fashion way of throwing them off your property yourself. Don't tell me you don't have 5 or 10 buddies that you can round up and show these creeps their not wanted. Until someone does something i'll continue to go out of my way to business that don't allow this shit to continue. How can you sit there and do nothing? You need to grow a set of balls and protect your investment and your families future from these people. News By Andy Edser published July 11, 2024 The Las Vegas Sphere might have an impressive spec sheet, but its energy demands are almost as staggering. Las Vegas is a city known for its commitment to the excesses of human consumption. Here, you can gamble away your life savings, drink yourself silly in its many over-priced bars, and generally live out your high-roller fantasies in the middle of the scorchingly hot and dry Nevada desert. Now Nvidia has revealed that the displays of the now-iconic Las Vegas Sphere—a gigantic spherical entertainment arena sitting at the heart of Sin City—are powered by 150 of its RTX A6000 desktop workstation GPUs. For those that like big numbers, well, hold onto your hats. Each of those GPUs feature over 10,752 cores, 48 GB of memory and have a 300 W TDP, for a grand total of 1,612,800 cores, 7,200 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a potential maximum power draw of 45,000 W at full tilt (via Wccftech ). And that's just the beginning of the staggering figures. Those GPUs power 16 internal displays, each with a resolution of 16K, alongside 1.2 million programmable LED pucks coating the exterior of the sphere. Content is streamed from an outside facility using Nvidia BlueField DPUs and ConnectX-6 DX NICs via Nvidia's Rivermax media streaming software, which ensures everything stays in sync across all those screens. A ll of that hardware comes at a cost. Beyond the $2.3 billion spent on its construction, it's estimated that the Sphere is capable of drawing 28,000,000 watts of power. For reference, 1,000,000 watts, or 1 megawatt, is said to be enough to satisfy the instantaneous demand of 750 homes at once in the California/Nevada area, meaning that 28 megawatts would be equivalent to the power necessary for 21,000 homes. Currently, an agreement is under review to ensure that 70% of the Sphere's power needs will come from solar sources, with the other 30% from non-renewable energy that will be offset by renewable energy credits. Nevada has pledged to achieve net zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050, and the solar project under construction to help offset its energy debt is estimated to complete in 2027. In the meantime, the Sphere sits as a gigantic monument to the excesses of modern technology taken to an extreme. While the sheer technical achievement here is impressive, I can think of few things more indicative of the current state of sustainability in tech more than a gigantic screen in the middle of a city devoted to excess—in the middle of the desert—blasting advertisements and entertainment media, while long-term renewable energy solutions to power it are still under development. Still, pretty though, aint it?

GMRS BASICS / NEW LICENSEE NET ABOUT THIS NET GMRS BASICS HANDBOOK This net meets every other Saturday at 7pm on 462.700Mhz with a PL of 100Hz March: 3/8, 3/22 @ 7PM April: 4/5 and 4/19 May : 5/3 and 5/17 and 5/31 This net is designed with the beginner in mind. There are no mistakes on this net. The net is a directed net desigined to facilitate participants to engage in conversation. This may even be your first time talking on the air, relax it's all good. The net begins at 7pm and any newly licensee's are encourged to check in with their name, GMRS call Sign, and a general location.. Thne any other licensed operators are invited to join. We begin by going thru the checkins one on one and asking some general questions designed to relax and encourage talking on the air. We will then begin alternating between the textbook subject matter and stations to review some of the basics of radio ediquitte such as accepted terms, FCC regulations, setting up your base station, antenna design etc. The textbook pdf is available at the link below for those who would like to follow along. The net duration varies on how much interaction there is and the subject matter covered. Typically we can go from 30min to 1 hour or more in rare cases. If someone has an issue to work thru we will work on it for as long as it takes..

2025 SURVEY RESULTS Thank you to all members who participated in the survey. The results indicate that 75% of respondents are satisfied with our current programming content and events, while 20% suggested improvements in communication. Additionally, 85% expressed interest in more Thursday night informational nets. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance our Nets and activities moving forward.
